One Home-Start for Norfolk
On 1st April 2017 the five Home-Start schemes in Norfolk merged to create a single Home-Start in Norfolk. We are continuing to provide services for children and families across the county.
We have changed the way we work internally and some of our staff now work from different offices but still provide the same level of support. If you'd like to find out more please get in touch with us.
On 10th January 2017 members of Home-Start Norwich voted to merge with the other Home-Start schemes in Norfolk to create Home-Start Norfolk. We look forward to working with our colleagues across the county to support families in need.
The 5 Home-Start schemes of Norfolk will officially merge into one on 1st April 2017.

Support our Sponsored Walk
On Sunday 15th May, staff, trustees and friends completed a 6 or 10 mile sponsored walk around the beautiful river side near Acle, Norfolk. So far a fantastic £650 has been raised. Donations are still welcome via our BTdonate link.

We are now open for referrals from North Norfolk as we have newly trained volunteers available. Emma, our North Norfolk Coordinator will be coordinating the volunteers and families in the area.

Home-Start Norwich decorates the Forum with snowflakes to raise awareness of our campaign
It has started snowing at the Forum in Norwich with the artwork of local children where hundreds of snowflakes are being displayed, raising awareness of our Snowflake Appeal to support vulnerable children in Norwich. See them around the balcony, in the Children's Library and Fusion area. Thanks to all the local children who have helped us create such a fantastic display!
Launch of Snowflake Appeal
Our Snowflake Appeal which is being promoted by Home-Start Ambassador Kirstie Allsop has been launched. We will be decorating the Forum in Norwich with paper snowflakes decorated by local children.
Help to raise funds and join us with our snowflake themed activities during the lead up to Christmas.

Theatre Royale Collection
Thank you to the audience of West Side Story who generously donated £1119.78 to Home-Start Norwich during its theatre collection week.
Long service awards to volunteers
Some of the long-standing Home-Start Norwich volunteers were congratulated on their achievements at our AGM, and awarded with certificates for their long service. Sarah's Hadrian's Wall Challenge
Well done Sarah, our family co-ordinator, who recently completed her 84 mile challenge walking the length of Hadrian's Wall in just 6 days. So far Sarah has raised almost £200 but it's not too late to donate online using the MyDonate link here.
Bishop's Garden Event
We are very grateful for the support of volunteers, family and friends of Home-Start Norwich and everyone who visited us to make our afternoon at the Bishop's Garden such a great success.

Home-Start Norwich Pamper Evening
We had a brilliant Pamper Evening at the Oaklands Hotel on 6th March and raised £1235.50 at the event. Everybody who attended enjoyed a fun evening. Our thanks to the small group of volunteers who organised and attended, the Oaklands Hotel for hosting the event and all the stallholders and beauty treatments for their generosity.

Harford Bridge Tesco Collection
Despite the icy weather, our volunteers braved the cold to collect outside Tesco. We raised £214.46 for Home-Start funds. Thank you volunteers and everybody who donated!
Thank you John Lewis Community Matters
John Lewis have kindly donated £630 to Home-Start Norwich as a result of their first Community Matters charity fund.
The money will help fund our Families Christmas Party this year. Thank you very much John Lewis store and all the customers who voted for us!
Nicole's Charity Ride
Nicole, one of our volunteers, cycled 77 miles from Cambridge to Norwich to raise money for Home-Start Norwich. So far she has raised over £70. Please sponsor Nicole's fantastic efforts by donating through LocalGiving.
Jenny's Three Peaks Challenge
Jenny tackled the Three Peaks Challenge in September, to support her Home-Start family raise money for their child who needs specialist help for her disabilities. Well done Jenny!
Forum Family Fun Day
We raised over £500 in August at our Family Fun Day in the Forum, Norwich. There were lots of children's games and activities, face painting, cakes and plants. We were encouraged by the number of people who gave us their support and positive feedback. Thank you to all the volunteers and their families who helped us on the day or donated prizes, cakes and plants. Thanks also to Pizza Express, McDonalds, Bewilderwood, QD, the Oaklands Hotel for donating prizes for the competitions and stalls.
Family Day Out
Our families enjoyed a trip to Melsop Farm Park in May. They had fun watching the piglets, goats, chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs. They enjoyed a picnic in the outdoor play area and played on the giant slide and trampoline. Thank you to the Norwich North Lions Club for helping fund our day out and McCarthy's for donating fruit.
